Michigan Works! Spring into Action Employer Seminar
Hispanic Senior Citizen Day Celebration

MISSION: Create opportunities for economic self-sufficiency for low-income, economically disadvantaged, elderly, disabled, unemployed and underemployed individuals, and dislocated workers.

The singular objective of Area Community Services Employment and Training Council (ACSET) is helping people. Our staff is dedicated to providing services to people to ensure an individual’s dignity, commitment to family, and respect as members of a single human race.

We actively seek funding for program delivery systems, provide direct services to individuals, and delegate and monitor activities and funding of organizations that are committed to our goals.

ACSET delivers services through two divisions:

The Community Action Partnership of Kent County focuses on meeting immediate or emergency needs such as, but not limited to, food, shelter, health care, safety and a sense of belonging.

Michigan Works! Kent and Allegan Counties administers a wide range of employment and training programs and services for employers, employees and job seekers through a network of local Service Centers and partnerships with community organizations.
